Infrastructural Opportunism
This phase required participants to apply their previous three phases to develop a vision for a theoretical framework - an optimistic and opportunistically active system of biological and ecological management through the design and adaptation of structural elements of the city.

The goal of this phase was to imagine and project a more wildly diverse city - just as cultural diversity is celebrated ubiquitously, biodiversity can be too. In this phase, traditional territorial boundaries were forced to give way to expose the emergent possibilities and catalystic ties between architecture and landscape's forms and systems. This experimental sojourn demanded students to expand their inquiry from the technical into the theoretical as a means of shaping a more synthetic ambition of structurally supported biodiversity.
